Dreaming of a White Christmas.

Merry Christmas from the Monkees. :)

It's very rare that we don't have a white Christmas where we live, but this year things are looking a bit brown. After a recent heatwave, a heatwave for December, that is; our yard was even thinking of turning green again.

So, we do have a bit of snow, but not nearly enough for sledding, or fun things like that.

Somewhere, we began the tradition of keeping our Christmas cards in our Christmas tree, so that's the jumble amongst our lights and ornaments.

With us leaving for school in a few weeks (time flies!), it will be just our immediate family for Christmas Eve and Day, but that will be fun. We have a delicious meal planned for tonight and tomorrow will be a relaxed day with maybe a movie.

We'll open presents tonight (Yippee!) and maybe I'll get a chance to work on my knitting. :)

A Sherlock inspired scarf with pattern designed by me as I go. This is my first big project!
At our church's Christmas party, I got a crocheted fox hat as a white elephant gift.
It was so cute, Becca made one too. :) Except with no red yarn, her's is a silver fox.

And our most exciting news....

Becca finished her Beauty and the Beast story and sent it in for the contest!
It's her first big writing project she's finished, so we are all very excited for her. It will be hard waiting to hear the contest results!

Do you have any special Christmas plans?

Or will you have a quiet Christmas at home too?

Anyone looking forward to the Doctor Who Christmas Special?

Becca and I have mixed feelings about it, mainly because a certain companion who said she was done traveling with the Doctor has seemed to weasel her way into it.

Well, since we began the post with the Monkees, let's let them end it too!

Merry Christmas everyone!
