When we started this semester, we thought when we reached this week, our feelings would be expressed quite accurately by this song line:
But now that we've been to Bible school for four months, and made some really neat friends, it feels much more like this...
It's amazing looking back at the semester. The first month was a blur of getting into the schedule of school, meeting tons of people, and only remembering half of their names. As it went on, though, getting settled in, finding our niche, and learning lots; we can see what an awesome blessing it's been.
If our dad hadn't given us the nudge to go, as unsure about it as we were, we would have missed out on a wonderful opportunity.
During a Bible study one evening, this rainbow appeared, and soon turned into a double one. |
We've officially decided to go back in the fall to finish the one year program, and are really looking forward to that. From there, who knows where God will lead either of us next, but we're so thankful that He's brought us safely through this first experience of Bible school.
So now we're back at home, figuring out what we can all get done this summer before heading back to school. There's plans of working at a camp for a bit this summer, and there's still that darling camper/trailer sitting in our backyard waiting for some attention... so we shall see. :)
Wow, that double rainbow is gorgeous against the dark sky! I'm glad you had such a good time at school! It encourages me a bit, since I'm a bit scared about going off to college.
ReplyDeleteThanks Abbey! Have you decided what college you would like to attend? Becca and I really liked our little Bible school, but I'm sure it was different from the usual colleges. One of our friends just went for a year before moving on to a bigger school for a different major, which was an interesting idea.
