Today will be busy getting ready for Bible Club here at camp tonight. While the parents meet for a Bible study, the kids gather in the camp chapel and we do sword drills (looking up Bible verses, for those unfamiliar with the term), games, prayer time, and a Bible story. Oh, and don't forget snacks. The kids never let us forget that.
We're going through the life of David, and tonight, he's just finally becoming king of Israel, so that's pretty exciting. There's also some murder and intrigue in this lesson, as you can maybe tell be the picture above. 😊
We've had 2-13 kids over the months, so we'll see how many come tonight. They're a fun, though hyper group, but it's been neat seeing growth, even though we meet only twice a month.
Have you had to teach any lessons lately?
What's you're favorite part about working with kids?
Sword drills. Yes! Have fun with the kiddos!
ReplyDeleteThere were several school busses with middle schoolers on campus the other day to see our production of Mary Poppins, but those are the only kids I've seen recently. They were so cute. :)
