We had a conversation about that at school, started by the question, "Does God want us to be happy". Because when things are going our way and we are happy it's easier to give thanks. In a Bible study I just finished the author was explaining how "joy" and "happiness" are two different things. While happiness is a mood, joy is more of a mindset; which, I suppose, makes it easier to rejoice always?
